Undercurrent makes no show socks that stay on the heel. They are cut and sewn from a cotton and modal fabric rather than knit as a tube, so the heel already sits where it should before the silicone grip does anything. Almost every no show sock on a shop floor has a grip in the heel. The difference is how much that grip is being asked to do.
For a buyer, that is the answer to the one complaint customers bring back about this category. The brand is based in New York and operates as ESSOC INC, doing business as Undercurrent. It was known as Essoc until June 2026.
The line
No show socks come in three cuts and are sold to retailers as 3-Packs.
Low-Cut
The lowest profile, for ballet flats, heels and other shallow shoes.
Mid-Cut
The broadest, for loafers, boat shoes, sneakers and slip on shoes with a closed back.
High-Cut
More coverage, for dress shoes and sneakers with a tall or padded collar.
Five neutral colors: Almond Beige, Toffee Tan, Espresso Brown, Pristine White and Midnight Black. 3-Packs also come as Basic Mix, Neutral Mix and All Color Mix. Low-Cut Basic Mix, which is beige, black and white, is the best selling colorway in both our own store and wholesale.
The line also includes the Deep Rest Sleep Mask, a blackout mask with a contoured nose bridge and a shell that reverses from cooling to warming.
Sizing
Sizing is by shoe size and is not gendered, so one set of sizes serves men and women and the shelf does not split. XXL is available in Mid-Cut and High-Cut. The full chart is on the size chart.
| Size | US women | US men |
|---|---|---|
| S | 5 to 6.5 | 3.5 to 5 |
| M | 7 to 9 | 5.5 to 7.5 |
| L | 9.5 to 11.5 | 8 to 10 |
| XL | 12 to 14 | 10.5 to 12.5 |
| XXL | 14.5 to 16 | 13 to 14.5 |
Suggested retail, and how we hold it
We hold full price on our own store. The 2026 Black Friday offer is free shipping, not a markdown, so nothing we run undercuts the price on your floor.
How to order
The line sheet and the order form are on Brandboom, where you can see the full assortment, build an order and send it to us. You can also order through Faire. For a reorder, or if you would rather we write the order with you, email wholesale@shopundercurrent.com and we will take it from there.
Who the line suits
Independent women's apparel boutiques fit the line best, and shoe stores sell it well next to loafers and flats. The socks move fastest in warm climate markets, where customers are in shallow shoes most of the year.
Common questions from buyers
Which cut should a first order start with?
Mid-Cut. It covers loafers, sneakers, boat shoes and clogs with a closed back, which is most of what customers come in asking for. Add Low-Cut if you carry flats and heels.
Will they stay invisible in mules or slingbacks?
No. Any shoe with an open back leaves the heel exposed, so the back of a no show sock will show. That is true of every no show sock, not only ours, and we say so on the product pages.
How do returns and exchanges work?
For our own customers, returns and free size exchanges run 30 days from delivery, and if the socks slip we refund or exchange them. For wholesale terms, write to us and we will go through them with you.
Where can we see the line in person?
We exhibit at Atlanta Apparel and will be at the January 2027 market.
