If you wear a men's 13 or a women's 15, you have probably bought no show socks that were never really made for your foot. The pack said one size fits most, and the sock spent the day proving it did not. The heel ends up under your arch before you have left the house, and you conclude that no show socks just do not work for you.
Usually the problem is not you, and it is not the idea of a no show sock. It is a sock that is too small for the foot inside it.
Why a sock that is too small slips
A no show sock stays on because its heel sits around the back of your heel. When the sock is sized for a smaller foot, it has to stretch to reach from your toes to your heel. That stretch pulls the heel of the sock forward and down, so it sits below the curve of your heel instead of around it. Every step then works it a little further toward your arch.
No grip can fix that for long. Most no show socks have a silicone grip in the heel, ours included, and the grip can only hold a heel that is in the right place to begin with. A sock in your actual size starts with its heel where your heel is.
Ours are cut and sewn from a cotton and modal fabric rather than knit as a tube, so the heel is shaped to the back of the foot before you put it on. That only helps if the size is right, which is why we make an XXL. There is more on why no show socks slip at any size in why no show socks slip off.
Which size to buy
Go by the shoe size you actually wear, not by a general idea of large or extra large.
| Size | US men | US women |
|---|---|---|
| XL | 10.5 to 12.5 | 12 to 14 |
| XXL | 13 to 14.5 | 14.5 to 16 |
Sizing is the same for everyone, so a men's 13 and a women's 14.5 both take the XXL. The full chart, including smaller sizes and EUR, is on the size chart page.
Which cut comes in XXL
XXL is made in our Mid-Cut and High-Cut. The Mid-Cut is the one for loafers, sneakers, boat shoes and clogs or slip ons with a closed back. The High-Cut covers more of the top of the foot, for dress shoes and for sneakers with a tall or padded collar. In XXL, the Mid-Cut comes as a single pair, a 3-Pack, a 5-Pack or a 10-Pack, and the High-Cut as a single pair or a 3-Pack.
The Low-Cut, the lowest of the three, runs S to XL. If you wear ballet flats or heels in a women's 12 to 14, the Low-Cut XL is your size. The chart lists it up to a women's 14, but a sock made for a 14 also fits a 15, so a women's 14.5 or 15 can wear it too. Above a women's 15, we do not make a sock low enough for flats and heels. The Mid-Cut XXL will fit, but it will show at the sides of a shallow shoe.
Colors in XXL
In XXL, Almond Beige, Pristine White and Midnight Black are in stock now. Toffee Tan and Espresso Brown are made in XXL too, and each product page shows whether they are in stock. Almond Beige is the one to choose when the goal is for nothing to show, because it is closest to most skin tones. White disappears inside a white sneaker, and black inside a dark shoe.
